Popa)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-647 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/uzpr-gorj.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Imagine1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1482\" height=\"831\" srcset=\"https:\/\/uzpr-gorj.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Imagine1.png 1482w, https:\/\/uzpr-gorj.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Imagine1-300x168.png 300w, https:\/\/uzpr-gorj.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Imagine1-1024x574.png 1024w, https:\/\/uzpr-gorj.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Imagine1-768x431.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1482px) 100vw, 1482px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Peter Neagoe, autorul romanului SF\u00c2NTUL DIN MONTPARNASSE, l-a cunoscut pe Constantin Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i la Bucure\u0219ti, la \u0218coala de Arte Frumoase, unde au fost colegi \u0219i unde a \u00eenceput prietenia lor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pe cei doi i-a apropiat faptul c\u0103 \u00ee\u0219i petrecuser\u0103 copil\u0103ria \u0219i primii ani ai adolescen\u021bei \u00een mediul rural, unde via\u021ba se deruleaz\u0103 \u00een mijlocul naturii, \u00een consonan\u021b\u0103 cu ritmul anotimpurilor \u0219i cu tradi\u021biile populare.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Am\u00e2ndoi au fost talenta\u021bi \u0219i perseveren\u021bi, aleg\u00e2nd s\u0103 plece din \u021bar\u0103 pentru a-\u0219i \u00eemplini visul. S-au re\u00eent\u00e2lnit la Paris, \u00een 1926, c\u00e2nd Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i devenise deja sculptorul modern al c\u0103rui atelier din Montparnasse atr\u0103gea iubitorii de art\u0103, iar Peter Neagoe se afla abia la \u00eenceputul\u00a0 carierei scriitorice\u0219ti.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De\u0219i nu \u0219i-a terminat studiile de art\u0103 \u00eencepute la Bucure\u0219ti \u0219i a renun\u021bat s\u0103 picteze, \u00a0Peter Neagoe a fost preocupat toat\u0103 via\u021ba de arta modern\u0103, scriind, \u00een 1932, influen\u021bat de Manifestul Suprarealist al lui Andr\u00e9 Breton, un eseu despre suprarealism, \u00eenso\u021bit de \u0219ase reproduceri din Juan Miro, Andr\u00e9 Masson \u0219i Max Ernst, \u00een care face referire la pictorii suprareali\u0219ti (pe unii dintre ei \u00eei cuno\u0219tea personal), \u00a0exprim\u00e2ndu-\u0219i p\u0103rerea c\u0103, <em>\u00een pictur\u0103, suprarealismul reprezint\u0103 o simplificare contrar\u0103 mersului \u00eenainte al fiin\u021bei umane<\/em>. Scriitorul a realizat \u0219i o lucrare r\u0103mas\u0103 \u00een manuscris, despre mae\u0219trii francezi ai erei postimpresioniste ( o culegere de \u0219ase eseuri despre C\u00e9zanne, Degas, Gauguin, Monet, Renoir \u0219i Van Gogh, inspirat\u0103 de galeriile \u0219i colec\u021biile de art\u0103 pariziene, pe care le-a studiat cu minu\u021biozitate).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Inten\u021bia mai veche de a scrie un roman despre via\u021ba marelui sculptor ia o form\u0103 decisiv\u0103 dup\u0103 moartea lui Constantin Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i, \u00een 1957, \u00eens\u0103 se tip\u0103re\u0219te abia \u00een 1965, postum. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cartea urm\u0103re\u0219te etapele principale ale vie\u021bii sculptorului: copil\u0103ria \u0219i adolescen\u021ba petrecute \u00een Gorj, studiile la Craiova \u0219i Bucure\u0219ti, ucenicia \u0219i consacrarea la Paris, finalul vie\u021bii \u0219i moartea artistului, \u00een atelierul s\u0103u din Montparnasse.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00cen roman apare un personaj fictiv, creat de autor din considerente epice (un alter ego al autorului), Mihai Romanov, un ziarist bucure\u0219tean care \u00eel descoper\u0103 pe Constantin \u00een \u021bar\u0103. \u201e\u00centr-o zi \u00eens\u0103, pe c\u00e2nd cioplea o piatr\u0103 de morm\u00e2nt, Varvara deschise u\u0219a atelierului \u0219i d\u0103du buzna \u00een\u0103untru \u00eempreun\u0103 cu un str\u0103in \u00een haine de ora\u0219, care se prezent\u0103 drept Mihai Romanov. Era un t\u00e2n\u0103r jurnalist din Bucure\u0219ti care cutreiera satele rom\u00e2ne\u0219ti vara, \u00een timpul concediului. Fotografia \u0219i colec\u021biona art\u0103 popular\u0103&#8230;Fotografiile trimise de el \u00a0la Paris \u0219i Londra fuseser\u0103 reproduse \u00een diferite reviste \u0219i erau foarte apreciate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Preg\u0103tindu-\u0219i aparatul de fotografiat, Romanov observ\u0103 <em>basorelieful reprezent\u00e2nd trei<\/em> <em>b\u0103tr\u00e2ne din sat<\/em>, asemeni unor b\u00e2rfitoare adunate laolalt\u0103, cap l\u00e2ng\u0103 cap, \u00een fereastra casei, capul din mijloc fiind mai \u00eenalt dec\u00e2t celelalte dou\u0103, care erau \u00eenclinate spre el \u00eentr-o atitudine de a\u0219teptare \u00eencordat\u0103. Examin\u00e2ndu-l cu aten\u021bie, i se pare c\u0103 <em>\u00eentruchipeaz\u0103 esen\u021ba b\u0103tr\u00e2ne\u021bii \u2013 renun\u021barea, \u00een fa\u021ba scurgerii timpului, \u00een\u021belepciunea c\u00e2\u0219tigat\u0103 de-a lungul anilor \u0219i o tandre\u021be calm\u0103. <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00cel \u00eentreab\u0103 pe Constantin de ce-a f\u0103cut grupul a\u0219a, iar explica\u021bia lui \u00eel surprinde: \u201eLa \u00eenceput m-am g\u00e2ndit s\u0103 despart capetele, s\u0103 le rotunjesc, dar, dup\u0103 ce-am mai chibzuit, m-am g\u00e2ndit s\u0103 las piatra s\u0103 le uneasc\u0103.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ziaristul \u00ee\u0219i d\u0103 seama c\u0103 are \u00een fa\u021b\u0103 un mare talent \u0219i e curios unde a studiat arta. R\u0103spunsul lui Constantin e \u0219i mai surprinz\u0103tor: \u201eAm \u00eenv\u0103\u021bat singur. De mic copil: la \u00eenceput de tot a fost un om de z\u0103pad\u0103, apoi m-am jucat cu lutul; am cioplit \u00een lemn, iar acum cioplesc \u00een piatr\u0103.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Impresionat de talentul lui, \u00eel sf\u0103tuie\u0219te s\u0103 mearg\u0103 la Craiova, la \u0218coala de arte \u0219i meserii, oferindu-i prietenia sa \u0219i totodat\u0103 sprijinul necesar \u00een momente dificile consumate \u00een \u021bar\u0103 \u0219i la Paris.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dup\u0103 plecarea lui Mihai Romanov, Constantin a r\u0103mas dezorientat. \u201eCine era str\u0103inul din Bucure\u0219ti? Era el oare aduc\u0103tor de ve\u0219ti bune? Nu-\u0219i putea explica altfel curioasa schimbare din via\u021ba sa. Dorin\u021ba de a sculpta \u00eei inundase \u00eentreaga fiin\u021b\u0103 \u2013 trebuia s\u0103 dea form\u0103 pl\u0103smuirilor imagina\u021biei sale. Da, trebuia s\u0103 le dea o form\u0103 \u00een concordan\u021b\u0103 cu ceea ce sim\u021bea \u00een ad\u00e2ncul fiin\u021bei sale. Numai astfel putea s\u0103 trezeasc\u0103 la via\u021b\u0103 o bucat\u0103 de lemn sau de piatr\u0103. Deodat\u0103 sim\u021bi c\u0103 leg\u0103turile cu satul s\u0103u \u00eencep s\u0103 se destrame. P\u0103r\u0103sea casa \u0219i pe Rada, pleca pentru totdeauna. Apar\u021binea unei lumi noi, de dincolo de sat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La Viena, dup\u0103 un drum pe jos, care durase un an \u00eentreg, reu\u0219e\u0219te s\u0103 vad\u0103 marea expozi\u021bie retrospectiv\u0103 Rodin, organizat\u0103 \u0219i \u00een alte ora\u0219e mari ale Europei, dup\u0103 ce lucr\u0103rile cunoscutului sculptor fuseser\u0103 expuse \u00eentr-un pavilion special, la T\u00e2rgul Interna\u021bional de la Paris, \u00een 1910.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Crea\u021bia lui Rodin i se pare diferit\u0103 de tot ce \u0219tia. \u201eUna dintre lucr\u0103ri, foarte \u00eendr\u0103znea\u021b\u0103, intitulat\u0103 <strong>Om merg\u00e2nd<\/strong>, \u00eel fascin\u0103. Reprezenta un om f\u0103r\u0103 cap \u0219i m\u00e2ini care mergea \u00eenainte. Centrul aten\u021biei era trunchiul, at\u00e2t de dinamic, de parc\u0103 te chema s\u0103 mergi odat\u0103 cu el. Constantin privea hipnotizat. Pengtru prima oar\u0103 \u00een via\u021b\u0103 constata eliberarea unei idei ce prindea singur\u0103 via\u021b\u0103, f\u0103r\u0103 s\u0103 fie nevoie de reprezentarea \u00eentregii figuri. A\u0219adar, asta era revolu\u021bia despre care \u00eei povestise Romanov, numind-o <strong>noua art\u0103<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00cens\u0103, chiar dac\u0103 a p\u0103r\u0103sit satul \u0219i apoi \u021bara, principala sa surs\u0103 de inspira\u021bie a r\u0103mas spiritualitatea rom\u00e2neasc\u0103, purt\u00e2nd cu sine peste tot, ca pe o icoan\u0103, imaginea simplit\u0103\u021bii \u0219i cur\u0103\u021beniei \u021b\u0103ranului rom\u00e2n, a \u00eenfr\u0103\u021birii lui cu natura. M\u0103rturie stau cadrul cioplit al u\u0219ii atelierului, cuptorul \u0219i patul de lemn, pe care \u0219i le confec\u021bioneaz\u0103 singur, pas\u0103rea m\u0103iastr\u0103 desprins\u0103 din pove\u0219tile rom\u00e2ne\u0219ti, devenit\u0103 simbol al aspira\u021biei sale spre infinit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ajuns la Paris \u00een plin\u0103 revolu\u021bie artistic\u0103, arta sa sculptural\u0103 este influen\u021bat\u0103 de reprezentan\u021bi ai tuturor artelor, care \u00eencercau s\u0103 transmit\u0103 un mesaj nou \u00eentr-o form\u0103 nou\u0103, considerat\u0103 mai aproape de perfec\u021biune (Isadora Duncan, Nijinski, Picasso, Apollinaire, Stravinski&#8230;)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00cen acela\u0219i timp, este preocupat de zeit\u0103\u021bile r\u0103s\u0103ritene, de c\u0103r\u021bile mistice, de medita\u021bie, de \u00een\u021belegerea lui Budha, a lui Lao-tse, a poetului tibetan Milarepa. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Arta lui Constantin \u0219i via\u021ba de toate zilele exprimau viziunea lui despre lume: \u201ePentru a ob\u021bine lini\u0219tea trebuie s\u0103 te deta\u0219ezi de tine \u00eensu\u021bi.\u201d Cei care au avut norocul s\u0103-l cunoasc\u0103 \u00een atelierul lui au fost primii care l-au numit <em>Sf\u00e2ntul din Montparnasse<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Romanul prezint\u0103 \u0219i latura sentimental\u0103 a vie\u021bii lui Constantin, iubirile sale, \u00eencep\u00e2nd cu Rada, continu\u00e2nd cu Livia, fiica sculptorului Hegel, apoi cu Marthe, Elaine Feyre \u0219i alte figuri reale, care au trecut ca prietene sau iubite prin via\u021ba sa, toate p\u0103r\u00e2nd a avea rolul de a-i pune \u00een valoare sinceritatea \u0219i profunzimea tr\u0103irilor, integritatea&#8230; \u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00centr-o zi, Mihai Romanov \u00eel viziteaz\u0103 \u00een atelier \u0219i \u00eel roag\u0103 s\u0103 fac\u0103 un monument funerar, care s\u0103 simbolizeze iubirea f\u0103r\u0103 de moarte, pentru un prieten a c\u0103rui iubit\u0103 se sinucisese, \u0219i \u00eei recomand\u0103 o copie dup\u0103 <strong>S\u0103rutul <\/strong>lui Rodin.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De\u0219i avea mare nevoie de bani, Constantin refuz\u0103 comanda, deoarece hot\u0103r\u00e2se s\u0103 nu mai lucreze copii. La insisten\u021bele prietenului s\u0103u, \u00eei r\u0103spunde iritat: \u201e<strong>S\u0103rutul<\/strong> lui Rodin e ceva obi\u0219nuit. Doi oameni goi care se s\u0103rut\u0103 ne\u00eendem\u00e2natic, numind aceasta pasiune. Ai putea vedea ceva mai banal pe o piatr\u0103 de morm\u00e2nt? Nu este genul de dragoste pe care amicul t\u0103u ar admira-o. El vrea ceva care s\u0103 sublinieze eternitatea dragostei.\u201d Iar c\u00e2nd prietenul s\u0103u \u00eel \u00eentreab\u0103 dac\u0103 poate s\u0103 fac\u0103 a\u0219a ceva, Constantin \u00eei arat\u0103 blocul de piatr\u0103 din atelier spun\u00e2ndu-i: \u201cAre forma \u0219i soliditatea unei pietre de morm\u00e2nt. Va trebui s\u0103 sculptez un cuplu, f\u0103r\u0103 a distruge impresia de solid pe care \u021bi-o d\u0103 piatra. De aceea cele dou\u0103 figuri nu vor fi dec\u00e2t schi\u021bate. Ar putea sem\u0103na cu o sculptur\u0103 primitiv\u0103; sau cu una greceasc\u0103. Dar nu va sem\u0103na. Nu va corespunde niciunei perioade. Va apar\u021bine eternit\u0103\u021bii. S\u0103 nu crezi \u00eens\u0103 c\u0103 va fi u\u0219or de f\u0103cut. \u00cemi va lua timp mult s\u0103 ajung la aceast\u0103 simplitate. Voi \u00eencerca forme ne\u0219tiute p\u00e2n\u0103 acum. Uitate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dup\u0103 ani, \u00eei vine ideea s\u0103 transforme un copac \u00eentr-o coloan\u0103 nesf\u00e2r\u0219it\u0103, care ar putea reprezenta aspira\u021bia omului spre infinit. \u00cen c\u0103utarea unui copac potrivit, \u00ee\u0219i rupe piciorul \u0219i trece printr-o convalescen\u021b\u0103 de lung\u0103 durat\u0103, timp \u00een care \u00eel \u00eengrije\u0219te Marthe. Mihai \u00a0se afla pe frontul din Balcani, corespondent de pres\u0103, \u0219i-i trimitea scrisori \u00een care se l\u0103sa prad\u0103 dezol\u0103rii \u0219i furiei. Atelierul lui Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i trecuse prin dou\u0103 r\u0103zboaie, \u00eens\u0103 el reu\u0219ise s\u0103 tr\u0103iasc\u0103 \u00een lini\u0219te, p\u0103str\u00e2ndu-\u0219i \u00eencrederea \u00een sine.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">C\u00e2nd a putut din nou s\u0103 lucreze, Constantin a ref\u0103cut de mai multe ori Coloana infinitului, \u00eembin\u00e2nd imagina\u021bia creatoare cu exactitatea matematic\u0103\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Termin\u00e2nd <strong>Copacul vie\u021bii<\/strong>, acesta \u0219i-a g\u0103sit loc \u00eentr-o gr\u0103din\u0103 din Paris, devenind obiectul admira\u021biei privitorilor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Vinde destule lucr\u0103ri pentru a-\u0219i asigura o existen\u021b\u0103 lipsit\u0103 de griji \u0219i se mut\u0103 \u00een Rue de Vaugirard, transform\u00e2nd cl\u0103direa unei vechi fabrici \u00eentr-un atelier mai mare, care s\u0103-i asigure lumina necesar\u0103, r\u0103m\u00e2n\u00e2nd acolo pentru tot restul vie\u021bii. \u201eCur\u00e2nd atelierul se umplu cu sculpturi uria\u0219e care creau impresia unui cimitir, de\u0219i erau mult prea mari pentru a fi luate drept pietre de morm\u00e2nt. L\u00e2ng\u0103 aceast\u0103 sal\u0103 mare se afla o c\u0103m\u0103ru\u021b\u0103, adev\u0103ratul atelier al lui Constantin. Pere\u021bii acesteia erau acoperi\u021bi cu unelte de toate felurile. \u00cen centru se afla un cuptor unde \u00ee\u0219i \u00eenc\u0103lzea uneltele ce trebuiau ascu\u021bite sau topea bronzul. Mai avea alte cinci camere; trei de lucru \u0219i dou\u0103 \u00een care \u00ee\u0219i petrecea restul timpului. L\u00e2ng\u0103 atelier exista \u00eenc\u0103 o camer\u0103 mic\u0103, \u00een care Constantin asculta muzic\u0103 oriental\u0103\u00a0 la un fonograf construit de el, cu un difuzor de o fidelitate incredibil\u0103. Dormitorul era sus. La atelier ajungea pe o alee cu pietri\u0219, m\u0103rginit\u0103 de cire\u0219i. Arti\u0219tii discutau prin cafenele cu venera\u021bie despre Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i \u0219i atelierul s\u0103u.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0Mihai Romanov \u00eel viziteaz\u0103 \u00een cea din urm\u0103 iarn\u0103 a sa, c\u00e2nd devenise aproape un pustnic, \u0219i \u00eel g\u0103se\u0219te \u00eemb\u0103tr\u00e2nit. La cafea, Constantin \u00eei poveste\u0219te c\u0103 ora\u0219ul vrea s\u0103 d\u0103r\u00e2me atelierele din zon\u0103 \u0219i s\u0103 construiasc\u0103 acolo o clinic\u0103, dar nu \u00eendr\u0103znesc p\u00e2n\u0103 nu moare el, spre bucuria celorlal\u021bi arti\u0219ti care se roag\u0103 s\u0103 mai tr\u0103iasc\u0103&#8230; apoi \u00eei m\u0103rturise\u0219te c\u0103 nu se mai simte a\u0219a bine ca \u00eenainte: \u201eMi-am f\u0103cut testamentul. Nu-mi voi l\u0103sa lucr\u0103rile nici negustorilor care \u00ee\u0219i spun colec\u021bionari \u0219i ofer\u0103 milioane pe ele, doar pentru a primi mi<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201eDa. Oamenii simpli \u00eemi vor \u00een\u021belege sculptura. \u00centr-o zi diamantele mele vor fi reproduse la scar\u0103 monumental\u0103 \u00een toate parcurile lumii. <strong>Pas\u0103rea de bronz<\/strong> se va \u00een\u0103l\u021ba str\u0103lucitoare din Gr\u0103dinile Luxemburg, ca o s\u0103geat\u0103, pentru c\u0103 acolo este locul ei, sub cerul liber, nu \u00eentr-un muzeu. Toat\u0103 via\u021ba am c\u0103utat esen\u021ba zborului. Aceasta este dorin\u021ba secret\u0103 a omenirii.\u201d \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u0218i tot Mihai Romanov este singurul martor al mor\u021bii artistului.
